I'm a little late to the game with this post, but one of the things that I miss the most from this past presidential administration (and just wait for it- I'm staying apolitical) are the photographs of Pete Souza.
Over the past 8 years, Souza has photographed the life of President Obama.
His photos represent the most intimate and vulnerable moments experienced by Obama during his presidency. They've given me insight into the way Obama lives, the way he interacts with his family, and the way he interacts with complete strangers....
The collection is a little slice of life that has humanized the president to the point of downright lovability, and the images have shown me that what makes Obama real, makes him human.
The images have given all of America a little piece to relate to— something that I hope my photography does for all of you.
