I photograph families doing what they normally do.
There are loads of sweet, hilarious, heart-warming, and maddening (....in ways that only a parent could understand) moments that go into your day. But it's not until your kids start standing up a bit more maturely, and doing things a little more independently than they did yesterday, that you realize that things aren't how they used to be anymore...
And while that was all happening YOU FORGOT TO GRAB THE FRIGGIN' CAMERA!!
WAIT. Who even uses a camera nowadays??
We all have LOADS of pictures— your Camera Roll is FULL of pictures that you've taken of the kids on burst mode (and practically evidence that they're raising themselves), but you deserve to have two big things: photos that capture all the little moments that you miss while you're in parenting mode, and even more importantly: some pictures of your everyday life that you're also in... So you can see that- NO— your little monsters aren't raising themselves, and YESSS!— you're doing a f*cking awesome job with your family. (Even when some weirdness happens when your back's turned for a second.)
I like posed pictures...They're pretty! But THESE will capture real life—the sweet little moments, and the crazier ones— the way life actually happens. (And because it's all about you, you won't be thinking of me every time you look at your family album!)
You're the one always TAKING the photos (...I see you, awkward selfie arm!). We're gonna make sure that one day, your kids can actually see you being there for them, instead of them just having a boatload of memories of you chasing them around with your iPhone.
Let's do it!
"[TOVA'S] PHOTOGRAPHY AND STYLE IS ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING: WE STILL LOOK AT THESE PHOTOGRAPHS EVERY DAY, AND EVERY TIME WE CONTINUE TO SEE SOMETHING NEW... [THE] PHOTOS...EVOKE A MEMORY, AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HER PHOTOGRAPHY DOES: PICTURES OF EVERYDAY LIFE THAT WILL TAKE US BACK TO THE MOMENT THAT THEY WERE TAKEN, WHICH CAPTURES A SPECIAL TIME IN OUR FAMILY'S LIFE.
I was hoping for a lot and got so much more. I couldn't recommend her highly enough."
